problem with gview on the SGIs

I'm having a problem with gview on the SGIs which I've been able to
reliably reproduce. Basically, I start with an empty file. I add a
separator to the top level node, add a transform to that and then a
file. I open up the transform thing, change a few numbers, close it,
and then try to add another separator to the top level node. Once I
click on where I want the separator to go, it core dumps. I can give
you the core file if you want it
