Any feedback on the console disappearance problem I discussed in
transactions 1440 and 1442 in bugs? Even though my proposed fix
doesn't get to the meat of the problem (why the console output doesn't
always get returned to the correct place when the X server dies), it
solves the most immediate problem which, as I mentioned, I see several
times a day in public clusters. (Yesterday in 4-167, for example, two
workstations out of eleven were suffering from this problem, and today
in W20, I saw a few as well.) Is the fix going to be used? Is it
going to be deemed unimportant (I would argue against this)? Have I
totally missed the point :) ? Is someone looking into it?
