Dear bug-fixers,
I was trying to run matlab on my Linux machine the other day (which I
just upgraded to the newest kernel, 2.0). The matlab startup
machinery of course ends up trying to run the Athena "unwrap" program,
which is supposed to live in
/afs/athena/system/slw/arch/@sys/bin
However, since I've changed from the official release of AFS for Linux
1.2.13 to the new release for Linux2.0, my @sys value is now
"i386_linux2". The problem is that the only linux-related directory in
/afs/athena/system/slw/arch is "i386_linux1," which is why my shining
new "i386_linux2" machine is failing to run matlab. I think for now
I'll figure out how to change the @sys value in my afs module, but in
the meanwhile I wonder if you can add a new directory for
"i386_linux2" (soon lots of people will start reporting this problem).
Dave
