What were you trying to do?
Run emacs info mode (with multiple emacs windows on the screen) with
M-x info
What's wrong:
Emacs dies horribly...and quite loudly. It sends a never-ending
stream of beeps to the console, and effectively locks up the X display.
Stopping the beeps requires logging in and killing the emacs.
What should have happened:
Well, it shouldn't have sent a never-ending stream of beeps to the
console :)
Please describe any relevant documentation references:
Emacs? Documentation?? Nah...couldn't happen :)
