What were you trying to do?
Start up xmitdir from .startup.X with the line
xmitdir -fg black -bg LightSkyBlue &
What's wrong:
The program never started up and the console window gave the message
"Can't Open display"
What should have happened:
The program should have started. I use this application at least
10 times per day and am lost without it. (Although I know that
I can always use the finger @mitdir command, this is nowhere near
as convenient)
