Damn. This is annoying. Will fix. It is failing because hostname is
not on local disk, and when this runs, there are no packs attached.

I intentionally didn't install the new man page in 7.7 because I
didn't figure it was worth the trouble for the small number of weeks
before 8.0; 8.0 has the new man page.
