I learned from Anne Lavin that there was a time when she was having
this problem too. She was using the athenized ftpd and the machine
would regularly panic when she quit a connection. The most
interesting thing to note is that when she had this problem the
machine in question was also running Apache httpd. The problem
appearantly went away when she switched httpd's, but a hardware
problem was fixed on the machine at about the same time, so she wasn't
positive that this is what fixed the problem. According to debi the
cwis machine in question is also runnign Apache, so I'm awfully
suspicious...
