From: danw@MIT.EDU To: bugs@MIT.EDU Date: Tue, 04 Jun 1996 13:38:06 EDT System name: starfury Type and version: IP22 0.8F Display type: UNKNOWN video What were you trying to do? zctl hide, then later zctl unhide What's wrong: my xterm thinks my $DISPLAY is :0.0, but everything else (in particular zwgc) thinks it's :0, so zctl tries to hide me on :0.0, when I'd been visible on :0, and it just doesn't work, and then when I unhide, I end up visible on both :0 and :0.0 What should have happened: Well.... I'm not quite sure. There should be agreement on what display I'm logged in on. The really weird part is that both zwgc and xterm seem to be calling DisplayString to get the name of the display, but they're apparently getting different answers from it. (zwgc's answer at least seems to agree with everyone else's though, so I'd guess it's xterm's fault).
