system fails to attach users home directory
What should have happened:
i should be able to log in, do my work, graduate, win the
sweepstakes, get a job that pays more than an investment banker, and
live happily ever after in any one of my beachfront homes.

i am actually on dentil, but kahn.mit.edu 18.38.1.22 was being
most uncooperative for all who tried to log in. thought you should know.
