Hi, I am the webmaster for 6.033
and we seem to be having some problems with short URLs
(ie., http://web.mit.edu/6.033/www/home.html
instead of http://web.mit.edu/afs/athena/course/6/6.033/www/home.html
).
I tried to access the 6.033 home page via the short URL listed above
tonight at about 12:30 and was told "Document contains no data" by
Netscape. (Mosaic reports an error.) Earlier in the day the document
was served correctly. The document is still served correctly via the
long URL. All permissions in the 6.033 locker on Athena appear to be
correct.
Please send me some recommendation or advice, or resolve the problem,
as soon as possible. The shorter URL is being distributed to over 200
students tomorrow.
