incorrect Kerberos password

This situation has remedied itself, but it was so unusual that I thought
I should report it to someone. At least I have some ideas about what to
do next time, like perhaps restarting my Mac.
I am a Mac Quadra user, with system 7.5. I have been using the same
Kerberos password for some time now. Yesterday, when trying to log on to
MacDiscuss, my password was not accepted, after many tries. So I decided
to close TechMail and see if my password worked there; it did not. After
finding out that Athena User Accounts would not be open again until 2
the next day (it was 6 p.m when this problem surfaced), I thought of
using Telnet and accessing Athena dialup, where my password WAS
accepted. About half an hour later, not knowing how to use Athena email
(help was taking forever to open on dialup), I tried TechMail on my Mac
and it accepted my password, as did MacDiscuss.
I do not know how long the problem existed. I had logged on to TechMail
first thing that morning with no problem.
