What were you trying to do?
mount a UFS floppy
What's wrong:
% attach -t ufs -m /mnt -e /dev/diskette
/dev/diskette: fsck returned a bad exit status (1)
Using "-d" option shows that attach is passing the "-p"
option to fsck. This option exists under BSD-like UNIXes, but
not under Solaris. If you are trying to check if a filesystem
is mountable under Solaris, you should probably use "-m".
OK, we try to get rid of the fsck and try again:
% attach -F -t ufs -m /mnt -e /dev/diskette
nfs mount: nfs file system; use host:path
"nfs mount"??? Didn't I just say I wanted "-t ufs"?
Sigh. Time to su.
What should have happened:
Elementary, my dear Mike.
The UFS filesystem should have been mounted.
Please describe any relevant documentation references:
attach(1) man page states "UFS (Unix file system)" is supported.
