System name: bill-the-cat
Type and version: SPARC/Classic 7.7T (1 update(s) to same version)
Display type: cgthree
What were you trying to do?
Abort from "specify special login" in xlogin, using
only the keyboard.
What's wrong:
Pressing F6 while the "Please enter the name of a
shell script or program:" dialgogue is active
causes xlogin to enter into an "ignore-the-keyboard"
state.
What should have happened:
xlogin state should have been reset to normal.
Workaround:
Hit <RET> after hitting F5. xlogin will display
"Special login session selected". Hit F6. xlogin
will reset.
Please describe any relevant documentation references:
The "Login Options" menu in xlogin.
This bug also ocurrs on DECstations, NetBSD machines,
and probably just about anything :-)
