What were you trying to do?
use hostinfo to discover DNS info about a host
What's wrong:
hostinfo returns "no address" error for hosts which only
have an MX DNS record, rather than returning that record.
What should have happened:
hostinfo should have retunred the MX record for the host
given as command line argument.
Please describe any relevant documentation references:
Many hosts which may be reached via email do not have IP
addresses; yet it is still useful to display their DNS
info when debugging mail problems. The MX DNS record
displays the relay host for the MX-only site.
MX-only host example: ntrs.com .
ps. I think I might have already reported this but never got an
acknowlegement so I'm not sure.
