This happens because you already have the autocad locker attached or added.
When running autocad from dash it tries to also attach the locker
autocad_r12. The conflict, and the error message, occurs because they
both try to take the name, "/mit/autocad", on the local disk. We will try
to fix this conflict. For now you can fix this problem by typing:
detach autocad
and trying to start autocad from the dash menu again.
