Incidentally, you may want to work with OLC on this. Since various people
use imake, gcc, and the other tools you mentioned on a daily basis, I suspect
there may be a problem in your Imakefile and they may be able to help resolve
that.
I believe your problem report really is asking whether
the section in /usr/athena/lib/X11/config/site.def
that reads
#ifdef SparcArchitecture
#if HasGcc
#define CcCmd gcc -traditional -B/usr/gcc/lib/ -I/usr/gcc/include -I/usr/athena/include
#else
#define CcCmd cc
#endif
#define OptimizedCDebugFlags -O
#endif
is correct in our environment.
i.e., you don't really have a problem with xmkmf or gcc?
