this is a followup to my previous message. on an ultrix 1.1 release
3.0.4.1 machine at pika, I got the following error

Error in text found while processing the manuscript.

Current font (TimesRoman) does not contain a "\016" character.

the mag tape formats thing is a manual I refer to in my bibliography.
its entry looks like this:

In my previous error, I had magtape be an unpublished, not a manual,
and left out the required author field. Still, the error persists,
though it doesn't crash scribe in the older version machine. Oh yeah,
the header that scribe prints is:
