AFS symlink to a string starting with '$'

I stupidly did    ln -s \$a da    in ~zeno (my AFS homedir), which
trips an AFS bug, apparently.  Attempts to   rm da   only result in
"da: No such device".   Can you remove it, somehow?   There is
no file  $a    by the way (which is irrelevant, but just so you know).
