Hi,
I've looked into your bug report. This behavior does in fact happen, but it
is intentional. You must manually widen columns to allow the entire contents
of each cell to be visible within the spreadsheet if you want the exported
text file to include complete, untruncated numbers.

>What were you trying to do?
> Was trying to export a large spreadsheet from Xess to a text file.
>
>What's wrong:
> The text file that was exported truncated some of the digits in
> my Xess file.
>Example:
> Let me first explain what you see on the screen. The value is 3.39e4.
> On the screen, you see part of the first 3 and .39e4. When I exported
> the file as text, the value I got was .39e4. I lost the first digit
> even though you can see it when you look at the individual cell.
> However, when I adjusted the column width to the size of the value in
> the cell, the exported file turned out fine....
>What should have happened:
> The exported text file should have transfered all the digits in the cell
> regardless of how many were visible to the user.
