What's wrong:
I was attempting to respond to a talk request from
srm@kepler.yerkes.uchicago.edu. talk.old was giving me odd errors,
but I of course could not see what they were because talk errors
disappear as soon as they appear. I finally ran it through tee, and
got the following results:
Unable to connect with initiator : Address family not supported by
protocol family (47)
When I initiated the talk request with talk.old instead of responding
to his request, things were working fine.
