I sent this before, but including the control characters gave TechMail some
trouble, so I thought I should remove them and try again. The ^_ and ^L
showed up in my editor, but as little black squares in TechMail. (I use
this editor to fix my .mdf file, when necessary.)
Every time I delete a message, try to get new mail, and then commit the
deletions, TechMail munges one or more of my messages, and not always ones
that I was planning on deleting. From a recent incident:

It is very frequent that I get the control characters or the "1,," part
from the next line messed up. This is the first time that I've seen the
word "Received" messed up, although I have seen bits from the end of a
message get messed up.
I'd like to see TechMail be a little more reliable and/or tolerant of
errors in the RMAIL file.
