Let me be very vague here. I have been experiencing intermittent X server
crashes lately. These usually occur after periods of relative inactivity.
What I mean by relative inactivity I mean that the machine is lightly loaded.
There is however enough activity so that the X screen saver is not activated.
The believe that during all occurrences of the crash I was running Matlab and
that it had been idle for over one hour.
Needless to say from my description you probably know what the problem is
already ;-)
Luckily, after the last crash, something dumped a core file in /usr/tmp. This
small core.root file is currently on bitbucket in the jake subdirectory. That
file will probably much more informative then this bug report.
