What were you trying to do?
I might like to handle strings such as '\n' at runtime in my
code.
What's wrong:
The Sun's manual page says printf will do this for me.
It does not appear to.
What should have happened:
About half a page of the manual should be ripped out. Or
modified to indicate it's the compiler that does the work.
