some quick comments. first, you might want to send suggestions to
release-team, rather than bugs. No problem, since I'm in both right
now, but bugs is really for bugs, not upgrades.
- I was hoping that by the now the Motif libraries would have been fixed but
- they haven't. Refer to [12628] for further information. I also have two
bugs numbers are in the range 38-2899 right now, so I'm not sure what
12628 refers to.
- other questions:
- 1. Why isn't Athena using Motif v1.2.4?
don't explode, but why should we? seriously, we have limited resources to
handle lots of things. why should this upgrade take those resources away
from other needed work?
(incidentally, we are planning to do some upgrading--X11R5 and motif 1.2.x--
for the summer release. it takes time, testing, and resources, but it is
in the list.)
