What were you trying to do?
used mkserv remote to permit local access to anyone
but allow remote access only to those in the
password file of paddington.mit.edu
What's wrong:
paddington.mit.edu allows anyone to log in on the
serial port which is connected to an isdn phone.
What should have happened:
the serial port should either have been considered a
"remote" site, like telnet, rlogin, etc., or it should
have been afforded it's own category of access
control so a user can select login behavior on th
serial port separately from either the display or
network logins.
