What were you trying to do?
A user has asked a question about libdes.a in /usr/athena/lib.
It appears as if des_set_key is not in libdes.a or any of the
other libraries there even though it is mentioned in the man
page.
What's wrong:
Can't seem to find des_set_key() which is mentioned in the man
pages but is not mentioned in des.h or in the libdes.a.
The other items mentioned in the man page are in libdes.a.
What should have happened:
Maybe the user is misled and I am not sure about this, but it
appears as if des_set_key should appear with the rest of the
functions mentioned in the man page in libdes.a but it does not.
The user just wants to locate where this function is located.
Please describe any relevant documentation references:
The man page is in section 3.
The user who is interested is zxm@mit.edu but he was unable to
send in this message himself at this time so I am asking on his
behalf.
