What were you trying to do?
Add a few X resources by hand, by running `xrdb -merge' in a shell.
What went wrong?
neither /usr/athena/bin/xrdb nor /usr/openwin/bin/xrdb recognized
control-d as eof and did what I expected.
; xrdb -load
Calendar*Foreground: #99b0ff

I could not find a way to change the resource database that didn't
involve using a file. Yes, I checked the tty settings.
What should have happened?
In the previous release control-d would cause xrdb to take the given
resources as input (I know that I'm being a bit vague here, but I'm
unsure of my terminology, and I'm low on sleep. :-).
