I originally sent this message Tuesday night, and it showed up in the
cfyi and bugs discuss meetings then. However, for some reason another
copy showed up this morning, before I got to work.
Any ideas why this may have happened?

Hi!
Umm, there seems to be a problem with portmap not running. Since 11:00
today we've had at least 5 questions that I know of about it (all from
DECstation users). One person reported that she couldn't start frame
from an xterm or dash. 1 person in building 1, 1 in W20, 2 in 11, and
1 in the pal cluster.
Any ideas?
