Display type: cgthree

What were you trying to do?
Change the colors of an Emacs window (see below)

What's wrong:
Emacs died with a "Fatal error (6)" and coredumped (see below)

What should have happened:
	Anything but that (see below)

Please describe any relevant documentation references:

A user first reported this in OLC.

If you try to modify any color in Emacs, using the commands:

		Meta-x x-set-foreground-color
		Meta-x x-set-background-color
		Meta-x x-set-cursor-color
		Meta-x x-set-mouse-color

and the like, you'll generate a "Fatal error (6)", if
and *only if* you have the corresponding X resource set
for Emacs. This can be considered to be bad.

This problem does _not_ occur if you do not have the
	corresponding X resource set.

For example, using the following X resources on a vanilla
	account:

		Emacs*foreground:	green
		Emacs*background:	orange
		Emacs*cursorcolor:	brown

and then setting any of the above once emacs comes up,
will generate an error. Setting the mouse color will
	work, though.
