What were you trying to do?
See if my changes to the sipb locker had fixed a problem in OLH, but
that's not important right now. I tried to view AC-18 from the
`Archive of Athena Documntation...'.
What went wrong?
The `echo area' at the bottom of the olh motif interface tried to
display a message, but most of it was cut off; instead of `Starting
external viewer. Please wait.' (like I get if I try to view any of
the SIPB documents) I see most of the `S' and nothing more. I
screendump of the window is available in ~yandros/tmp/olh.xwd, where
it will stay for 1 week.
What should have happened?
The entire message should have been displayed.
Anything else you'd like to add?
Yeah, olh likes to send the word `trying...' to stdout whenever it
runs an external viewer. It's annoying. Please make it stop.
