What were you trying to do?
use imake (BIG mistake) :-)
What's wrong:
imake SUCKS!!... but this time the templates are broken..
it adds -B/usr/gcc/lib (which is correct for 7.6, but breaks
under 7.7). this makes imake break with those templates
so that now xmkmf which uses those by default generates
broken Makefiles.
What should have happened:
the templates need to be fixed so that -B/usr/gcc/lib or whatever
isn't there.
