What were you trying to do?
get help inside the "help" application, running in tty mode.
What's wrong:
when I do this, I get lots and lots of gobbledygook on my
screen, rather than helpful information.
What should have happened:
I should have gotten the help help screen. (No, that is not a
typo.)
Please describe any relevant documentation references:
Didn't I report this already during staff test? It appears,
to the best of my knowledge, that this bug went to field.
We tested it on thing-two.mit.edu, which appears to be at
the field release, and on my machine, woof.mit.edu, which is
at 7.7G under friendly test (so who knows what I'm actually
running.) Anyway, it sure looks kinda broken...
This problem does not happen on DECstations, I checked.
