What were you trying to do?
Log into AUDITORIUM.MIT.EDU (not a report on Paddington)
What's wrong:
There was no visual indication on the idle or login screens
that the machine was anything other than a 7.6 release system.
I didn't find out it was running layered athena until *after*
I had already logged in.
What should have happened:
It should have been obvious *before login* that the machine
was not running the standard field release. A prominent indication
should have been made on both the idle and login screens.
