Thanks for your bug report!
This definitely sounds like a tty configuration problem, indicating
one or more bugs. Rebooting at the very least _should_ have reset the
tty state sufficiently. My best guess without looking is that it's a
tty/pty protection problem. I might get over there tonight to try to
check it out before it disappears.
