The kangaroo kernel :-) I like that - although Kangaroo's kernel will
not do didly squat for you now (wrong architecture), the configuration
of interest to you is:

If what you are looking for is the 'true' kangaroo kernel configuration
which did the extra configuration to support CAP, many more devices,
upped some process limits (and may even work with multiple displays)
then I suggest you look at the configuration file in 

/afs/dev/project/release/source/src/decmips/sys/conf/mips/KANGAROO

or:

/mit/opssrc/sys.mips.77/conf/mips/KANGAROO

Heck - you already have it - build it....
