On Euterpe (maxine) (the machine that does global motd service, the messaged
is logging the fillowing:
Jul 25 22:17:46 euterpe 9880 messaged: GMS request succeeded [GMS:0] from 18d.71d.0d.17d
It is perfectly reassonable that it log when a get_message client asks it for
the message, but the IP address should be reasonable.
