What were you trying to do?
Register a user in moira that is status 5, for an athena account. I
often need to register a status 6 user who then finds that they need
access to athena. The steps I take are first modifiying the user from
status 6 to 5, so they're "registerable" and then choosing 7.
What's wrong:
When you choose the "7. (register) Register a user." in moira, their
pobox is automatically reset to a different pobox.
What should have happened:
If they're already on one of the standard pobox machines (po5, po6,
po7) it should keep them on the same pobox. In addition, moving the
pobox might cause the user to lose mail (or simply not incorporate it
cause hesiod now sees them on a different pobox). I'm not sure how
Ron might want to have moira deal with people on eagle. I do know
that he's trying to move as many people off as possible.
Currently, what I do now when I register someone for an account in
moira is first check what pobox they're on, and then after I run the
registration program, I move them back to their original one.
