Hi,
In all the versions of Techinfo I've been using lately -- 4.1b7, 4.1, and
4.2a1 I've had trouble doing searches. There have been cases when I've
done a search (with the "Scan word within documents" and "search from Main
Menu" options) and found nothing, even when I know the text is there.
Alternately, sometimes it has found files supposedly containing a certain
word, and the word is nowhere to be found. The first problem is the one I
have noticed the most.
For example, I find 82 documents containing the word "Appletalk", whereas I
find NO documents containing the word "Remote". Yet the document
"AppleTalk Remote Access -- A Powerful New Way to Connect" contains both
these words, both in the title and in the document.
Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks!
