You might try experimenting with either of these two resources:
dash*menuTree.window.overrideRedirect: False
dash*rude:False
I believe the second one is simply desirable, the first may require that you
explicitly tell your window manager in its configuration file that dash should
not get any decorations (ie. title bar, borders, etc.)
There's probably a good reason they are both True by default, but it can be
fun watching dash getting very confused.
