What were you trying to do?

  I rlogin -x'd from a cluster decstation 5k/133 (w20-575-75) to a
private decstation 5k/25 (hal-2000). I'd logged into the decstation
as root, so the involacation was:

    w20-575-75# rlogin hal -x -l yandros

That went fine; I was logged in as I expected.

What went wrong?

If happen to hit control-c twice in rapid succession in this login
(on hal), the remote machine says:

    ; Connection closed.

(the `; ' part is from my prompt) and the rlogin session is closed.

What should have happened?

I should have been free to hit control-c thirty times in 3 seconds,
as I often do when I want to stop an accidental command NOW. :-)

Anything else to add?

I verified that this DOES NOT happen to suns (infocalypse), DOES
happen to RS/6000s (oliver), and DOES NOT happen to vaxen
(milquetoast), all from the same decstation 5k/133 in the cluster.
