Hi, I've been looking into your bug report. It's hard for me to proceed
without more specific information: for the DEC 5000 you say "the system
crashes": do you mean the workstation reboots, or the program crashes but
you get back to the UNIX prompt, or something else?
Does this happen reproducibly? If so, does it happen on every DEC 5000 or
only on certain ones?
Were you running anything else on the workstation besides Autocad and
Framemaker when the problem showed up?
I tried starting Framemaker and Autocad on a DECstation 5000 and they both
came up with no problems. Can you describe an exact sequence of operations
in both programs that will always cause the problem (or tell me a machine
it always happens on)? If I can't reproduce it, it will be hard to get it
fixed.
PS: the color problem you mention might be caused by running too many
applications at once that use lots of colors. Try closing down all other
applications and this problem may go away (using lots of colors in your
root window can also cause this).
If I get some of these details I may be able to proceed further.
