Hi,
I have been assigned your bug report about 'from'
Disabling 'from' was not meant to be a long term solution. It was meant to be
a quick fix to try to alleviate load. Basically, the decision was made that
it was more important for the mail to get delivered, than for people to
get notified that mail was delivered, especially since less mail would be
delivered.
I am going to mark the bug report closed. In the future we hope we will never
have to disable 'from' again, but if we do the circumstances will probably be
dire enough to merit disabling it completely.
Matt
