What were you trying to do?
I was trying to fix the fonts for Mosaic on the sun, but that's not
important right now. :-) I was trying to run xfontsel to find out
which fonts we do have on the sun.
What went wrong:
Running it right now, I get:
Warning: Cannot convert string "-misc-fixed-medium-r-normal--7-*-*-*-c-50-iso8859-1" to type FontStruct
But then things are ok. More interesting is that the last time I
tried it (a couple days ago), xfontsel would immediately clear the
pane displaying the font sample as soon as it came up and never show
the font again (making it somewhat useless :-). this was repeatable
then but doesn't seem to be happening now. ???
So why are you reporting this then?
So you'll have something to look for when you go to test the x11r5
clients for 7.7. :-)
Also, the default font probably should be one that doesn't exist.
Believe me, people notice and complain about font warnings :-)
