The user hbriceno recently sent mail to bugs (there's a copy at
the end of this message). Basically, it looks like a user error...
he found the same problem on several DECstations, and there were
no other problems reported to hotline for these machines, and
Lou checked the machine the user complained about (he typed
'echo $hosttytpe') anf ound no problem. Sooo.. this looks like
a user error.

I just logged in m1-142-22 without customizations, and after logging inI did:
echo $hosttype
and got sun4!!!!
I has happened to me on other machines in this cluster.
I am just reporting this.
