Below is the final word from Frame on the "DECstation xwd window dump import
bug"; I'm sorry that I couldn't do more. For what it's worth, I only saw it
intermittently, and never on Suns or RS/6000s. It also didn't show up
when I was running on a Sun and displaying on a DECstation (or vice versa).

I've heard back from the engineer, and he is not able to reproduce the
crashes you are having with your resources. Unfortunately, if he cannot
reproduce it he cannot figure out what is happening. It seems to be a
problem only with the combination of the FM DEC binary, OS, and display
server. Since we have no intention of upgrading our DEC's since we will
no longer be developing for DEC, we cannot fully reproduce your
environment. Even if we could, we will not be producing any bug fixes
for FrameMaker 3. I know that this is distressing, but I suppose that
when you will be importing graphics, you will need to use the
workaround of running off another machine and displaying to the DEC, or
running off the DEC and displaying to another machine.
I thank you for your patience, and I am sorry that we could not resolve
this issue.
