I think I have found a bug in the IBM workstation display server
(the machines in 4-035) - in particular on the machine I was using
m4-035-8.mit.edu. When running an external emacs window from another
machine on the net, and when I tried to cut and paste a line of text
from my athena login window to the emacs, the display server completely
crashed - wiping the screen clear and logging me out. This was certainly
a repeatable error and you might want to look into it.
