Actually, I believe it is still possible, to some extent, though the
mechanism is somewhat broken.  I find (for my .uwmrc) that

	xterm -name news -T news -e rn

does produce a window with an icon name of "news", and it does use
"news*geometry" from my X resources.  The necessary combinations of
icon name (-n), name (-name), and title (-T) to produce a given effect
seems to vary, and I haven't figured it out.  One thing I have noticed
is that names specified with dots in them don't seem to work.

You might also look at Mark Eichin's .uwmrc file; I think he's got
something working for his setup too..
