What wacky thing are you trying now?
Run x programs from the x11r5 locker. (actually, I've been doing it
for a long while now). In particular, I tried to resize an x11r5
xterm.
What broke?
Resizeing the xterm doesn't affect the tty settings, so programs
running in the xterm (like, say, a shell) don't realize that the
window changed size. At a guess, it's not dealing correctly with
POSIX/SysV signal semantics, but I'm just guessing that becuase
that's the problem with everything else :-)
