Yesterday I reported a problem of a General Protection Fault when using
Techmail for Windows and Leash. My RESNET consultant (Mike Ford) suggested
last night that my PATH might be too long; I shortened it up and the system
now works. My problem is that I use 4DOS instead of DOS as command.com --
it allows a much longer path.
I would still like to raise the question whether this is a "bug" or not?
I have not had any problem with any other windows applications. If a
longer PATH could be accomodated in MIT written applications it would make
the software more robust...
