What were you trying to do?
Trying to use dialog boxes.
What's wrong:
I was starting to learn AutoCAD, but every time I pull up a dialog
box, I get a distorted, unusable window, often with no "OK" or
"Cancel" buttons (which are essential for exiting the dialog box).
For instance, when I go to the Settings menu and choose Drawing Aids,
I see a dialog box, but the objects and text within the box are
crammed together at the top, and I can only read the words "grid" and
"snap". At the bottom, I can see that there is a Help Button, but it
only half of the button appears on screen. The middle of the box is a
huge blank space. This is obviously not what the dialog box is
supposed to look like, and it has no functionality.
What should have happened:
I should have gotten dialog boxes that I could read and use.
Please describe any relevant documentation references:
I have taken a look at our lab's Autocad 12 manuals, and the Dialog
boxes shown in the illustrations are nothing like what I get on
screen.
